Federal Tax Credits
The 2009-2010 Federal HVAC tax credit, which expired on December 31, 2010, has been amended and extended through December 31, 2011. The new maximum tax credit for improvements made during 2011 is now $500.
To be eligible, this credit must apply to qualifying energy efficiency improvements made to your primary residence and you have not already claimed tax credit from previous years.

- Air Conditioners – 16 SEER/13 EER, $300
- Heat Pumps – 15 SEER/12.5 EER/8.5 HSPF, $300
- Air Conditioners – 14 SEER/12 EER, $300
- Heat Pumps – 14 SER/12 EER/8 HSFP, $300
- Gas/Electrics – 14 SEER/ 12 EER, $300
- Gas, Oil or Propane Water Heater with an energy factor of at least .82 or a thermal efficiency of at least 90%, $300
- Electric with an energy factor of at least 2.0, $300
