Mister Sparky® was started in 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia. That location is now the leading residential electrical service and repair company in the Eastern U.S. and one of the biggest in North America. The name “Mister Sparky®” comes from the common use of the term “sparky” or “sparks”, meaning electricians, in company founder Patrick Kennedy’s native Ireland. The company has an impeccable record for delivering fast, on-time service, accurate upfront pricing, and an overall pleasant experience for customers.

We differentiate ourselves from all other electrical companies by our unique message to the marketplace: Mister Sparky® – “America’s On-Time Electrician”, We’re On Time, You’ll See, Or The Repair Is Free!™. We have trademarked “on-time” in the electrical industry and we champion it in the marketplace.

Parent Company Overview

Mister Sparky® is owned by Clockwork Home Services Inc., in Sarasota, Florida. Founded in 1998, Clockwork Home Services, Inc. (formerly VenVest Inc.) establishes and builds nationally branded franchises for the home services contractor market. Led by a senior management team comprised of entrepreneurs with collective expertise in marketing, branding and franchising for home services, Clockwork aims to build national brands for nearly all services that are performed in or around the home. Clockwork provides contractors with extensive training to enhance both customer services practices and technical acumen while also providing tools for better business management.

The Clockwork philosophy embraces the importance of Time - the homeowner's and the contractor's. With this in mind, Clockwork continues to expand its network of franchises nationwide, delivering maximum levels of customer and technical service and, in the process helping small business owners and contractors gain a measure of financial comfort, success and happiness.

Franchises

Currently, the company has franchises for the plumbing, HVAC and electrical industries - Benjamin Franklin® the Punctual Plumber® , One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning® and Mister Sparky® respectively. As of August 2009, there were 245 Benjamin Franklin® Franchisees, 268 One Hour Heating and Air® Franchisees and 102 Mister Sparky® Franchisees.

In addition to teaching contractors how to generate greater revenue in the most efficient way, Clockwork offers more freedom and enjoyment as well as the same kind of benefits and retirement programs available at large corporations. Through Clockwork systems and business process software applications, contractors can sidestep the types of "business surprises" that can plague an individual small business owner.
